Located near to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and built around a shimmering 15-acre Lago Dorado or ‘Lake of Gold’, this superb family resort offers you the chance to feel like an ancient explorer on your Disney holiday.

The resort comprises of three village areas, the Cabanas on the banks of the lake, the Casitas set amongst palm-shaded courtyards or feel the wilderness of the Ranchos, all of which offer rustic surroundings accented in soft, muted shades, and handcrafted wood furniture.

When it comes to recreation, behold the five-storey stepped Mayan pyramid towering over the elaborate pool area with waterslide and a playground that doubles as an archaeological dig site for young explorers.

There are also three other quieter pools spread throughout the resort. Other great leisure facilities include a state-of-the-art health club, a video games arcade and boat and bike rentals.

At the full-service Maya Grill, an old world setting restaurant, you can enjoy Nuevo Latino cuisine and if this is not quite to your taste, family favourites can be had at the Pepper Market food court.
