We are closed between 23rd - 28th December for Christmas and reopen 29th.

For many people including myself an Orlando holiday is jam packed with things to do! I was lucky enough to work at Walt Disney World for 2 years which gave me the opportunity to have a few what I call ‘relaxed days’ at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The things you wouldn’t necessarily think about doing, but I bet quite a few of you have done these without even realising. So here are my top 5 things to do on a quiet day at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

1. Frontier Trading Post

This shop I could spend hours in! It is located in Frontierland near The Country Bear Jamboree. Yes, just like Gary C, I am obsessed with Disney’s Pins! I have a Disney Pin from every Disney resort I’ve stayed at, every Disney Cruise I’ve been on, every festival at Epcot and many more. I like to keep my special ones in a book, however I always carry a lanyard in my backpack as you never know when you might see the next pin you so desperately need. I also love buying the mystery packs as you never quite know what you are going to get!

2. Starbucks on Main Street

Well a day at Magic Kingdom wouldn’t be complete without this caffeine fix! Yes, days in the Disney Parks can sometimes be long but with so much to do they are of course worth every second! Whether you are visiting in the summer months and need a venti iced coffee to keep you cool or you visit in the fall/autumn and treat yourself to a pumpkin spiced latte there really is a treat for every season!

3. The Hub Grass

Yes, I know this might sound crazy but hear me out. We have all been in that position where we feel like our feet might drop off due to the amount of walking around all the parks you do. So sometimes taking 5 minutes to sit down and plan the rest of your day is needed. I personally love siting on the Hub grass with my Starbucks and watch the world go by. Also you get to see lots of Disney proposals there too! You can listen to all the sounds, smells and views and just take in how amazing the Magic Kingdom really is.

 4. Disney Snacks

Well everyone loves a good snack at Disney! Let’s start with Churros! Churros can be purchased in Magic Kingdom and are extremely tasty. I also love Mickey shaped pretzels with the cheese dip! Disney is most known for Dole Whip the snack of all snacks. If you have never tried this delicious pineapple flavoured treat then it’s a must do on your next Disney holiday. I also love how Disney do different themed snacks throughout the year. One of my favourites was this ‘Up’ inspired ice cream from Tomorrowland.

5. Main Street USA

I think personally the best part of any Disney holiday is walking down Main Street and seeing Cinderella’s Castle at the end. Many people are desperate to run down straight to the Castle and get the important photos that genuinely last a lifetime, but do you ever just pause to take it all in. Genuinely take every detail in, from the names on the buildings, to the sounds coming out of the windows. It’s truly incredible to think this was Walt’s idea and now look at it. It just goes to show ‘All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.’

I think it’s safe to say that on our next Disney holiday we will all appreciate the little things a little bit more than we did before. I personally am already counting down the days to my next Disney holiday are you?

Fantastic service! I’ve spoken to a few travel agents about booking Disneyworld for my family and none can compare to Myah for knowledge, clarity, helpfulness and she actually listened to what we wanted from our holiday and the flights. And it made me feel so at ease that she was able to speak from direct experience of Disneyworld and everything that goes with it. All that AND she beat the other quotes!

I will be recommending Ever After Holidays to anyone I know who is considering a Disney trip. Keep up the good work!
